The whispers have begun … European luxury cars, designer jewels, pampered luxury, French champagne, ball gowns and masks … whatever is set to happen on the eve of the New Year at the opulent beachfront Opal Cove?
With the day of celebration fast approaching and the invitations hot off the press, you will want to cross your fingers and hope one is heading your way.
Bellbowrie European, in conjunction with La Fleur D’Alyse and Le Dãin Designs take great pleasure in announcing the La Bal Masqué de Française, a night of pure opulence on the eve of the New Year 2012.
The scene is set for the invite only event, with only 200 tickets available; this exclusive evening will have the lucky few ringing in 2013 in style. Overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean, the beachfront Opal Cove Resort will be dressed to impress, with the dedicated team from Special Occasions pulling out all the stops to transport guests back to the 18th century French court. As the masked invitees arrive, they will be greeted not only with the opportunity to get up close and personal with the top of the line luxury Audi range, thanks to Bellbowrie European, but also by the classical sounds of Heartstrings, the string trio consisting of a viola, violin and cello, who will be setting the welcoming mood. The divine singer Millie O’Rouke will croon guests back through time, as they mingle and are waited on hand and foot by the attentive help for the evening.
As the evening of masked indulgence unfolds, guests will be pampered with many luxurious delights. Upon arrival, guests will be treated to cocktails created especially for the evening by two of the event’s major sponsors. ‘Opulence’ from major sponsor Le Dãin Designs, which is named after Le Dain’s latest collection to be launched on the evening and available from Opal Cove – one of the main stockists of Le Dãin Designs, will consist of Kruskovac, a Croatian pear liqueur with Italian Asti Prosecco. The cocktail ‘La Fleur’ from major sponsor La Fleur D’Alyse will contain edible Lotus Flowers topped with Italian Asti Ruby. These delicious cocktails will be enjoyed in magnificent surrounds, while awaiting the arrival of the VIP motorcade … Yes, that’s right: the VIP guests for the evening will enjoy the most prestigious of arrivals in the Bellbowrie European luxury motorcade. VIP guests will be collected from their homes and treated to a lavish journey through the centre of Coffs Harbour in convoy on their way to the beachfront Opal Cove Resort. Leading the motorcade will be Mayor Denise Knight and husband Dr Christopher Knight in their Audi A6 for the evening. Upon arrival, the court crier will announce each VIP guest and sponsor upon entrance. Bellbowrie European are pulling out all the stops with their luxury motorcade, with the top of the line Audis being joined for the evening by some special Audi surprises from Melbourne, being brought in especially to add to Bellbowrie European’s already incredibly impressive fleet …
Make sure you keep an eye out from 7.30pm on 31 December along Harbour Drive and the Pacific Highway to catch a glimpse of this grand spectacle.
This amazing, never been done on the Coffs Coast before, motorcade shouldn’t come as a surprise to those who know the dedication of the Bellbowrie European team to go above and beyond in every area. Not only do they pride themselves and are well known for their continued service and support long after a car is sold, but their dedication to quality extends into their service department as well. You would be blown away to know the lengths they go to, to ensure only the best for their customers. Bellbowrie European’s head Land Rover Technician, Ruldolph Dercksen, joined the team as a result of an international search to find the best Land Rover mechanic on the globe. Bellbowrie European also has in residence the ‘mechanical legend’, as he is known, John Ussher, who regularly travels the world competing in, and winning, international technical competitions run by Audi, Volvo and Saab.
Bellbowrie European is the class leader in the sale of quality imported European vehicles in Coffs Harbour, with Audi outselling Mercedes Benz and BMW by a significant margin. One only has to look at the dedicated showroom and workshop facility to see that they take the European experience seriously.
To keep the guests well informed about the proceedings of La Bal Masque De Francaise, we have the pleasure of having the fabulously effervescent Michael Crossland as the MC for the event. Michael has been a busy man this year and spent a huge part of 2012 presenting and spreading hope and passion to create inspiration throughout Australia and overseas. We count ourselves lucky he is home for Christmas and can join us help ring in the New Year in style.
As the evening of fun and frivolity unfolds, more excitement will ensue. Jules Faber, caricature extraordinaire, will be on hand to capture all the glamorous action, with personalised caricature of willing guests. Jules is the ‘Cartoonist in Residence’ at the Bunker Gallery and President of the Australian Cartoonists Association, so caricature subjects are in good hands.
Sammy Hart from Coffs Harbour High Teas and her mysterious ladies will be forecasting futures for 2013 in tea leaves from upturned fine china teacups, while Trudy Smith, the talented local artist, will be body painting a life model to show us all what was worn under those gorgeous gowns in the 1800. Guests can take home instant memories, with snapshots from polaroid cameras, and outstanding local photographers Alyssa Evans from Lyss & Her Camera and Brendan Ray from Skyview Photography will be on hand as the official memory capturers, so everyone can relive the evening once the champagne effects have worn off.
As guests arrive at this evening of opulence, the focus won’t purely be on fun and frivolity. Guests will be asked to make a donation to the Coffs Harbour Based Hospital Children’s Ward, which Tegan Ewart from 400 Management will match dollar for dollar to $1,000.
As attendees make their donation, they will be provided a gold key, one of which will open the treasure trove, guarded by the court crier, of untold luxuries for their keeping.
After the custom cocktails, mini banquets and French canapés, pampered guests will move from the civilized formalities of the high society string quartet and French court trappings to the complete beach frontage Opals Room, where the DJ will be spinning tunes ‘til the early hours for guests to dance the night away.
Upon entering the pièce de fête, the party room, guests will be greeted by a towering deliciously WICKED masterpiece, designed especially for this fabulous event by cake masters Kerry and Rachael Sullivan from Modern Cake Creations and Wicked Berries. The tower of delicious will contain the infamous and highly sought after wicked berries, amongst other mouthfuls of delicious.
Continuing with the deliciously decadent theme, Kristi from Pansabella has constructed a ‘cheese cake’ – a lofty construction of the finest cheese to be enjoyed with French baguettes and jambon cuit au miel, honey glazed ham, late into the night.
The most glamorous guest will be handsomely rewarded with the Best Dressed accolade, receiving a lavish gift from Le Dãin Deigns and La Fleur D’Alyse, to ensure they continue to dazzle in style. Every effort has been made to deliver a luxurious night to remember, with the opportunity to don a ball gown and sparkle the evening away in fine style. The jovial group, dolled up to the nines thanks to Mickeela Toneycliffe Makeup Artistry, Risque Hair and RSVP Bridal and Formalwear, even drew a crowd as they posed for photographs alongside the luxurious Audi A8.
